SD Card Tip for Trail Cameras
In our extensive reviews of trail cameras, we have found it difficult to work with SD cards. The cards are small (no condusive to being handled with gloves on) and can be easily lost or damanged if dropped on the ground. In addition, it seems that some camera manufacturers have made it their goal to put the slot for the SD cards in the tightest or most difficult place. This simple tip can help you avoid these issues.

Simply apply a 2" strip of scotch tape to the memory card. Flip it over an apply another 2" strip. Match these strips up so they stick together with approximately ½" on the card and the remaining applied to each other. This will give the SD card a 1½" tail for you to pull to remove the card. When applying the tape to the card, be sure that it doesn't cover up the "lock" area (most SD cards have a tiny switch that you can flip to lock the card, preventing images from being written onto the card - don't cover this with tape, or it may lock the card and you'll get no pictures).
