Savage Arms Savage Arms .17 Series Model 93R17 BTVS .17 HMR - LH Review:
I now know why the right handed shooters love there thumbhole stocks! This is the first (that I have found) left hand rifle with a thumbhole stock and I like it! This .17 is just amazing!
First you have a real nice vented wood thumbhole stock topped with an all stainless bolt and button rifled heavy varmint barrel with a 1 in 9" twist and you have a tack-driving machine at 100 yards. I topped this gun with a 3-9X40 Leupold VXII and I can shoot out the center of a target with the 5 round clip at 100 yards. I know your thinking "heavy stainless bull barrel, I bet it weighs a ton", nope, it weighs 6 pounds!
The 93R17BTVS comes with an AccuTrigger and 21" barrel and it's magazine can hold 5 rounds (plus 1).
This gun has won some awards to. "2006 Best Buy" from Outdoor Life and U.K. Shooting Industry "Best New Rifle 2007". If you don't own a .17HMR yet, get one. This is cheap fun!
