The Walnut and Maple 3-sided Half Moon Box Call from Wilson Game calls is a top notch box call! First of all, the call is simply beautiful - this is a call that could be proudly displayed when not in use (engraving on the top and both sides). And, the performance matches the looks too. This call features a box primarily constructed using walnut, but with maple sound boards inserted. The sounds it produces are very delicate and seductive. The tones produced by this split the difference between mellow and raspy - which we find to be the most effective.
Wilson Game Calls are made by hand and we found the company to be highly responsive and very personable. They have very loyal followers. Although it's not the exact same product, we were contacted by Edward Noonan who wrote about using a Walnut Classic Series Box Call from Wilson Game Calls.
